Narrative:

After pushback and demonstration; I was securing cabin and galley with trainee on board and answering a question from the trainee. I did not hear captain's 'prepare for takeoff' in order to prepare myself and trainee for takeoff. Next thing we were on the active runway and unfortunately the trainee was not in her assigned seat while the aircraft started the takeoff roll. She moved quickly to her seat and sat while aircraft was about to rotate. I and my flying partner were also getting settled into my jumpseat at the same time. My flying partner was in the restroom prior to takeoff roll. I do not feel that I/we violated any FARS; however; a report was felt necessary.
