Narrative:

During pushback ZZZ1; the tug driver stated over the flight intercom 'you need to set the brakes right now!' I applied the brakes and upon re-establishing contact with the tug driver; he informed me that the tow bar had disconnected from the aircraft during pushback. I then received a cabin call from the purser that one of the other flight attendants had fallen when the aircraft was stopping. After a couple of mins; the purser called back and said that the flight attendant wanted to continue to ZZZ2. I got back on the flight interphone and asked if the station had another tow bar and was advised that they did. I asked the driver to reconnect and finish the push. We then pushed back another 10 ft or so and when the tug driver went to disconnect his headset; he informed me that the external interphone panel had pulled away from its screws as our aircraft had moved away from the tug during the tow bar failure. At this point; I advised the tug driver to tow us back to the gate. I sent a message about the external interphone panel and a contract mechanic met our aircraft. I called the flight manager and he said he would check with the fleet about continuing; as I was concerned about flying with a flight attendant that was possibly injured. The contract mechanic fixed the external interphone panel. I conferred with the purser and the flight attendant that had fallen stated she was ok to continue to ZZZ2. The flight manager called me back and stated that the fleet manager was ok with us continuing to ZZZ2. We received final weights again and proceeded to ZZZ2 without further incident.

Title: CABIN ATTENDANT INCURS MINOR INJURIES DUE TO ABRUPT STOP SUBSEQUENT TO THE INADVERTENT DISCONNECT OF THE TOW BAR DURING PUSHBACK.

Narrative: DURING PUSHBACK ZZZ1; THE TUG DRIVER STATED OVER THE FLT INTERCOM 'YOU NEED TO SET THE BRAKES RIGHT NOW!' I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND UPON RE-ESTABLISHING CONTACT WITH THE TUG DRIVER; HE INFORMED ME THAT THE TOW BAR HAD DISCONNECTED FROM THE ACFT DURING PUSHBACK. I THEN RECEIVED A CABIN CALL FROM THE PURSER THAT ONE OF THE OTHER FLT ATTENDANTS HAD FALLEN WHEN THE ACFT WAS STOPPING. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINS; THE PURSER CALLED BACK AND SAID THAT THE FLT ATTENDANT WANTED TO CONTINUE TO ZZZ2. I GOT BACK ON THE FLT INTERPHONE AND ASKED IF THE STATION HAD ANOTHER TOW BAR AND WAS ADVISED THAT THEY DID. I ASKED THE DRIVER TO RECONNECT AND FINISH THE PUSH. WE THEN PUSHED BACK ANOTHER 10 FT OR SO AND WHEN THE TUG DRIVER WENT TO DISCONNECT HIS HEADSET; HE INFORMED ME THAT THE EXTERNAL INTERPHONE PANEL HAD PULLED AWAY FROM ITS SCREWS AS OUR ACFT HAD MOVED AWAY FROM THE TUG DURING THE TOW BAR FAILURE. AT THIS POINT; I ADVISED THE TUG DRIVER TO TOW US BACK TO THE GATE. I SENT A MSG ABOUT THE EXTERNAL INTERPHONE PANEL AND A CONTRACT MECH MET OUR ACFT. I CALLED THE FLT MGR AND HE SAID HE WOULD CHK WITH THE FLEET ABOUT CONTINUING; AS I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT FLYING WITH A FLT ATTENDANT THAT WAS POSSIBLY INJURED. THE CONTRACT MECH FIXED THE EXTERNAL INTERPHONE PANEL. I CONFERRED WITH THE PURSER AND THE FLT ATTENDANT THAT HAD FALLEN STATED SHE WAS OK TO CONTINUE TO ZZZ2. THE FLT MGR CALLED ME BACK AND STATED THAT THE FLEET MGR WAS OK WITH US CONTINUING TO ZZZ2. WE RECEIVED FINAL WTS AGAIN AND PROCEEDED TO ZZZ2 WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
