Narrative:
At a little over 80 KIAS; vent skin valve fault ECAM was received. Continued takeoff and worked ECAM airborne. Leveled at 10000 ft per the ECAM procedure. Contacted dispatch through ACARS and tried to get additional help from maintenance. No additional guidance was provided by dispatch or maintenance. Decision was made to return to ZZZ and land. Dispatcher acknowledged decision with a 'copy.' tried to get maintenance guidance on overweight landing; they didn't seem concerned if we were within vertical speed parameters at touchdown. Consulted fom; overweight landing wasn't specified; so no emergency was declared. Returned to ZZZ and landed overweight with a vertical speed of 100 FPM at touchdown. Wrote up vent skin valve fault and overweight landing. Aircraft has history of various avionics cooling faults. Flight was canceled awaiting parts to repair problems.

Title: A320 FLT CREW REPORTS VENT SKIN VALVE FAULT ECAM DURING TKOF ROLL AND RETURN FOR OVER WEIGHT LANDING.
Narrative: AT A LITTLE OVER 80 KIAS; VENT SKIN VALVE FAULT ECAM WAS RECEIVED. CONTINUED TKOF AND WORKED ECAM AIRBORNE. LEVELED AT 10000 FT PER THE ECAM PROC. CONTACTED DISPATCH THROUGH ACARS AND TRIED TO GET ADDITIONAL HELP FROM MAINT. NO ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE WAS PROVIDED BY DISPATCH OR MAINT. DECISION WAS MADE TO RETURN TO ZZZ AND LAND. DISPATCHER ACKNOWLEDGED DECISION WITH A 'COPY.' TRIED TO GET MAINT GUIDANCE ON OVERWT LNDG; THEY DIDN'T SEEM CONCERNED IF WE WERE WITHIN VERT SPD PARAMETERS AT TOUCHDOWN. CONSULTED FOM; OVERWT LNDG WASN'T SPECIFIED; SO NO EMER WAS DECLARED. RETURNED TO ZZZ AND LANDED OVERWT WITH A VERT SPD OF 100 FPM AT TOUCHDOWN. WROTE UP VENT SKIN VALVE FAULT AND OVERWT LNDG. ACFT HAS HISTORY OF VARIOUS AVIONICS COOLING FAULTS. FLT WAS CANCELED AWAITING PARTS TO REPAIR PROBS.
