Narrative:
We discovered after take off that we had missed a repetitive inspection on a D item in the logbook. There were a number of D items on the aircraft and while going through paperwork prior to the flight; we must have overlooked the item. Was performing IOE and must not have reviewed the D items closely enough; and spent more time on the numerous pages of NOTAMS at ZZZ. There was also weather enroute that we had spent a lot of time on.
