Narrative:
Installed right emergency exit door to fuselage on jul/xa/08 around XA30 after clearance to close by P1. Signed install block; and gave re-panel checklist to P2 for inspection signoff. Was informed by my supervisor that aircraft X had a maintenance log entry about the event and it was fixed during ron maintenance. Upper handle was repositioned during ron maintenance before the next flight. Did not notice the upper plastic handle on door liner had been installed incorrectly during installation. Would be possible to reconfigure installation of upper handle without much expense; so it could only fit one way. Supplemental information from acn 793907: on jul/xa/08 I was asked by P1 to do a clearance to close for the 2 overwing emergency exits. I inspected the exit door frames; and made sure that the panels were secured properly; and signed the clearance to close block on the de-panel list. Prior to flight; the pilot reported that one of the upper handles on an emergency exit was not installed properly.
