Narrative:

On an ILS approach into ZZZ airport; the landing gear was extended. The main landing gear extended but the nose gear failed to extend. The approach was terminated and the missed approach was initiated. After configuring the aircraft and heading to our missed approach altitude (time-frame was 3 mins); the QRH was about to be performed when the nose gear came down under its own power. Maintenance control was contacted and informed. It was agreed not to perform the QRH procedure and land in ZZZ. ATC was notified and another ILS was performed into ZZZ. An emergency was declared with ZZZ tower and a landing was made without incident.
