Narrative:
Aircraft X was on the clare 2 departure off dfw to btr. While working the uim low sector 83; aircraft X checked on frequency climbing to 17000 ft; after traffic search discovered that the data block was not depicted and that slr hi sector 71 had track control of data block. Aircraft was climbed to FL230 and the event was reported to the osic.

Title: ZFW CTLR DESCRIBED OPDEV WHEN DEP ACFT DATA BLOCK WAS DISPLAYED ON WRONG SECTOR AND AN INAPPROPRIATE CLIMB ISSUED.
Narrative: ACFT X WAS ON THE CLARE 2 DEP OFF DFW TO BTR. WHILE WORKING THE UIM LOW SECTOR 83; ACFT X CHKED ON FREQ CLBING TO 17000 FT; AFTER TFC SEARCH DISCOVERED THAT THE DATA BLOCK WAS NOT DEPICTED AND THAT SLR HI SECTOR 71 HAD TRACK CTL OF DATA BLOCK. ACFT WAS CLBED TO FL230 AND THE EVENT WAS RPTED TO THE OSIC.
