Narrative:
While on approach we came within 600 ft of 3 helicopters operating VFR. We were executing rnp 26 approach to .15 minimums. First officer was flying and we encountered the helicopters at 2500-2000 ft. We were IMC; the helicopters were operating on rnp centerline at the bases of the clouds. They were not in contact with ZZZ tower. We did not receive an RA. We saw the helicopters visually as they passed under the nose. The landing was uneventful.
