Narrative:
Left-hand elevator was received without 8130 and was missing paint; several bushings and rivets; contacted bombardier help desk and was told it was ok to swap over fittings from damaged elevator after old fittings were inspected via eddy current. Installation went as planned after swapping over fittings and installing rivets. Everybody suspected elevator arrived unfinished. Don't know what else could have been missing. Aircraft went into ZZZ with a write-up that elevators had excessive play during travel. At this time; was told aircraft would be inspected and then ferried to ZZZ1 for further inspections. Needed an elevator quickly and was told this was the only one in stock from bombardier. Ensure parts arrive finished complete with proper documentation.
