Narrative:
I forgot to remove the tow bar from the nose gear before taking off from ZZZ. On rotation; the tow bar detached from the nose gear. After detaching from the nose gear; the tow bar hit the left outboard leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer. I only noticed this after parking the airplane at the destination airport. The way to prevent a recurrence of this situation is to perform a thorough preflight inspection.
