Narrative:

APU was on MEL. Should not have flown to ZZZZ without APU; but was forced to -- could not get another airplane. The ground equipment was not working or ground personnel did not know how to operate. The heat inside of aircraft was in the range of 140-150 degrees. I was getting sick waiting for ground personnel to get us an air start. Passenger were also getting sick from the heat. I had to take a broken airplane to get paid. This type of operation is dangerous both to passenger and flight crew.
