Narrative:
Using the corridors to transit the canyon sbound in accordance with the sfar chart. Originally planned to use the more western corridor; but due to developing thunderstorm changed to use the eastern corridor. The problem was that the latitude/long labeling of the entry and exit waypoints is rather confusing; which takes more time and creates data input errors. This makes for inaccurate navigation of the corridors. It would be useful if these important fixes had bold type for the latitude/long information and perhaps they were added to the intersection databases; so that they are preloaded into the GNS. Also there is a restr area style marking around point imperial; but I can find no mention of flight restrs anywhere on the chart. If this area needs to be avoided then the center of the area (since it is a circle) needs to be labeled with the latitude/long; otherwise it is difficult to determine its exact location. The flight was conducted safely in deference to the thunderstorms and terrain; but it could have been much cleaner with better navigation information.

Title: BE55 PLT SUGGESTS THE ENTRY AND EXIT LAT/LONGS FOR THE NORTH SOUTH CORRIDORS ON THE GRAND CANYON SFAR CHART ARE DIFFICULT TO READ AND IMPEDE NAVIGATION.
Narrative: USING THE CORRIDORS TO TRANSIT THE CANYON SBOUND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SFAR CHART. ORIGINALLY PLANNED TO USE THE MORE WESTERN CORRIDOR; BUT DUE TO DEVELOPING TSTM CHANGED TO USE THE EASTERN CORRIDOR. THE PROB WAS THAT THE LAT/LONG LABELING OF THE ENTRY AND EXIT WAYPOINTS IS RATHER CONFUSING; WHICH TAKES MORE TIME AND CREATES DATA INPUT ERRORS. THIS MAKES FOR INACCURATE NAV OF THE CORRIDORS. IT WOULD BE USEFUL IF THESE IMPORTANT FIXES HAD BOLD TYPE FOR THE LAT/LONG INFO AND PERHAPS THEY WERE ADDED TO THE INTXN DATABASES; SO THAT THEY ARE PRELOADED INTO THE GNS. ALSO THERE IS A RESTR AREA STYLE MARKING AROUND POINT IMPERIAL; BUT I CAN FIND NO MENTION OF FLT RESTRS ANYWHERE ON THE CHART. IF THIS AREA NEEDS TO BE AVOIDED THEN THE CTR OF THE AREA (SINCE IT IS A CIRCLE) NEEDS TO BE LABELED WITH THE LAT/LONG; OTHERWISE IT IS DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE ITS EXACT LOCATION. THE FLT WAS CONDUCTED SAFELY IN DEFERENCE TO THE TSTMS AND TERRAIN; BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH CLEANER WITH BETTER NAV INFO.
