Narrative:

Flight was initially cleared by IFR departure procedure 'teton-3.' to comply with alternate noise abatement procedures; flight was reclred the jackson hole visual noise abatement departure procedure by jac tower. After departure during climb out; flight contacted ZLC. Shortly after radio contact; ZLC advised the flight that they could not approve the visual departure procedure at that time and questioned flight crew why we were not flying the standard IFR departure. After flight landed at the destination airport I called ZLC directly by phone to find out where the discrepancy in clearance occurred. They told us that jac tower never called ZLC to coordinate the new departure procedure; which was their responsibility to do so.
