Narrative:
Upon receiving clearance to ZZZZ; we were assigned the JACAL2 RNAV departure with the naley transition. Upon reviewing the supplied paperwork and NOTAMS I came across NOTAMS usd 04/167 and usd 07/283 which have the same content which state (paraphrasing): ANDYS3; BUCKL3; DEBIE2; HARAY2; JACAL2; LILLS2 and MERIL2 procedures na. Having just been assigned the JACAL2 departure I felt it pertinent to discuss with my first officer and dispatcher as to the correct course of action. Dispatch said he thought these NOTAMS might be out of date and to contact ATC. So as not to delay the flight (everyone else was departing using these same RNAV departures) we pushed and during the taxi out; I had my first officer contact clearance delivery on communication 2 to clarify my concerns. The clearance controller's response was do you have a date on that?' to which my first officer said 'no; just the file numbers usd 04/167 and 07/283' to which the controller replied 'I don't know what to tell you except that we have been using these departures for 2 weeks now and I have been issuing them all day today.' I notified dispatch via ACARS as to what the controller had said and we agreed that the flight could be conducted safely and that I would follow up at a later time. I made the decision to continue because the controller is an FAA employee and has the access and jurisdiction in this situation. After takeoff; I continued the conversation with dispatch over ACARS and was informed that apparently the system had NOTAMS in it that were more up to date than the ones printed on the release. He still said that the NOTAMS I had referenced were active in the system he was looking at. One thing that particularly struck me as concerning was that we as a flight crew were not privy to some of the more up-to-date NOTAMS. This is not the first time I have submitted an as soon as possible regarding NOTAM dispersment; and I feel there may be an underlying problem with the system. 1. Is the NOTAM vendor not doing their job? Have these referenced NOTAMS actually been removed? 2. Why are our releases being printed with different NOTAMS than what the dispatchers have access to?
