Narrative:
Several times taxiing into gates at buf at night very hard to see faded yellow lines. Have asked several times for safety to have them be painted at all gates. Operations told me there is no one to do it with layoffs -- no budget for paint anyway! If we can't afford paint for gate safety we should not be flying an airline for hire.

Title: ACR CAPT ADVISES PAINTED LEAD-IN LINES TO PARKING AT BUF ARE FADED AND DIFFICULT TO SEE AT NIGHT.
Narrative: SEVERAL TIMES TAXIING INTO GATES AT BUF AT NIGHT VERY HARD TO SEE FADED YELLOW LINES. HAVE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES FOR SAFETY TO HAVE THEM BE PAINTED AT ALL GATES. OPS TOLD ME THERE IS NO ONE TO DO IT WITH LAYOFFS -- NO BUDGET FOR PAINT ANYWAY! IF WE CAN'T AFFORD PAINT FOR GATE SAFETY WE SHOULD NOT BE FLYING AN AIRLINE FOR HIRE.
