Narrative:
I was notified by my supervisor that during the month while working I signed off several airworthiness releases. After arriving directly from the apprentice program; I was informed by direct supervision that I needed to obtain my airworthiness release certificate as soon as possible. I was unaware that being off probation was a prerequisite for having my airworthiness release. I took the on-line course and passed and was given my airworthiness release certification by the director. What I do find troubling is that all the training records have been deleted from my file. As I talked to several others that have gone through the apprentice program; they were also informed that they needed their airworthiness releases even though they are on probation. I would like to know why and who was given the authority/authorized to go in my file and pull a training record without my knowledge. I suggest that supervision be more informed on training policies that they are adamant about pursuing. I should have been informed in the apprentice program that this is unacceptable practice.
