Narrative:

Fatigue report: once again; scheduling forced me to work another 90+ hour month in august. With numerous late night arrs; and a month end transition into september with only 2.5 days off in a string of a 16 consecutive day period; my body simply does not have enough time to recover from these types of chronic fatiguing schedules. Reference my schedule for august: I called the crew desk after completing my trip which ended late on thursday. I explained that I was too fatigued to work a trip on friday; and that I would be rested for my trip on monday. My body needs at least 3 days off between trips to fully recover and end the chronic rolling fatigue caused by these 90 hour lines and minimum days off. Why are we pilots solely responsible for recognizing when our bodies are fatigued? Is it not obvious from the company's scheduling practices; and chronic understaffing that these schedules are inherently fatiguing? Why does the FAA continue to situation there and allow management to continue making these unsafe; accident-prone schedules? Time is long past due for the FAA to change the work rules and rest requirements for part 121 air crews!

Title: AN ACR CAPT REPORTS BEING SCHEDULED FOR OVER 90 HRS IN THE MONTH OF AUGUST; WITH FATIGUE ISSUES RESULTING.

Narrative: FATIGUE RPT: ONCE AGAIN; SCHEDULING FORCED ME TO WORK ANOTHER 90+ HR MONTH IN AUGUST. REF MY SCHEDULE FOR AUGUST: I CALLED THE CREW DESK AFTER COMPLETING MY TRIP WHICH ENDED LATE ON THURSDAY. I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS TOO FATIGUED TO WORK A TRIP ON FRIDAY; AND THAT I WOULD BE RESTED FOR MY TRIP ON MONDAY. MY BODY NEEDS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OFF BTWN TRIPS TO FULLY RECOVER AND END THE CHRONIC ROLLING FATIGUE CAUSED BY THESE 90 HR LINES AND MINIMUM DAYS OFF. WHY ARE WE PLTS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR RECOGNIZING WHEN OUR BODIES ARE FATIGUED? IS IT NOT OBVIOUS FROM THE COMPANY'S SCHEDULING PRACTICES; AND CHRONIC UNDERSTAFFING THAT THESE SCHEDULES ARE INHERENTLY FATIGUING? WHY DOES THE FAA CONTINUE TO SIT THERE AND ALLOW MGMNT TO CONTINUE MAKING THESE UNSAFE; ACCIDENT-PRONE SCHEDULES? TIME IS LONG PAST DUE FOR THE FAA TO CHANGE THE WORK RULES AND REST REQUIREMENTS FOR PART 121 AIR CREWS!
