Narrative:
On climb out; we received an avionics smoke indication. No smoke detected; followed protocol and declared an emergency. We landed uneventfully; the fire crew did not detect any smoke or fire. Our maintenance determined that it was a faulty sensor.

Title: AN A300 RECEIVED AN 'AVIONICS SMOKE' INDICATION AFTER TKOF. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED WITH A RETURN TO LAND. THE SMOKE'S SOURCE WAS NOT IDENTIFIED.
Narrative: ON CLBOUT; WE RECEIVED AN AVIONICS SMOKE INDICATION. NO SMOKE DETECTED; FOLLOWED PROTOCOL AND DECLARED AN EMER. WE LANDED UNEVENTFULLY; THE FIRE CREW DID NOT DETECT ANY SMOKE OR FIRE. OUR MAINT DETERMINED THAT IT WAS A FAULTY SENSOR.
