Narrative:

I was the PF on flight abc ZZZ1-iad sep/xa/08. Landed runway 19C and exited left on Y7. I called ground who immediately switched us to ramp frequency. I called ramp and we were cleared to gate xx via X line. Ramp then instructed us to pass behind an rj on taxiway yu so we stopped abeam the gate. Captain then used breakaway thrust to move forward and then idle as the 90 degree turn was made. I confirmed gate assignment with station operations and then noticed no guide man. I requested a guide man while the captain stopped the aircraft approximately 50 ft short of the lead-in line for gate xx. I told the passenger to remain seated on the PA. Approximately 30-60 seconds later; the guide man arrived and the captain used breakaway thrust to park the aircraft. At XA05 on sep/xc/08 I was notified by the ZZZ2 flight office that a person was blown off a ladder on the air carrier Y ramp behind our aircraft while we were parking. Supplemental information from acn 805631: the 777 I was taxiing was completely full with 22000 pounds of fuel.
