Narrative:
Climbing out of about 15000 ft; a 4 or 5 ft rubber seal came loose from under the radome. Contacted dispatch and maintenance control; which took a long time; and was advised to divert. Declared an emergency and landed 1000 pounds overweight in ZZZZ.

Title: A B737-800 FLT CREW EXPERIENCED A FIVE FOOT LONG SECTION OF A RUBBER SEAL COMING LOOSE FROM UNDER THE RADOME. THEY COORDINATED WITH MAINTENANCE; DECLARED AN EMERGENCY; AND DIVERTED TO THE NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT.
