Narrative:

When changing a forward entry door slide; old slide inflated by accident. Old slide was removed from door container on hangar floor. Alignment arrow was not completely aligned to allow free safety pin inspection. As soon as allen key was inserted to align arrow and pressure was applied; slide inflated. Note: arrow was short of its mark and rotation -- for the key was away from inflate direction. Slide was in open area and aircraft was not damaged nor personnel injured.
