Narrative:
Fire warning light and bell #3 engine. Accomplished engine shutdown checklist, 2 gen checklist and 2 engine landing checklist. Proceeded to ord (destination) after conferring and with dispatch concurrence. Alerted ord fire department and landed west/O incident. Supplemental information from acn 80678: intermittent fire warning engine #3. Shut down engine (SOP) called center and dispatch. Thanks to priority handling we continued to ord with rsp in mind in case situation would have gotten worse. Landed safely in ord. Human performance was very good.
