Narrative:
We were taxiing for takeoff at ZZZ and had just completed the control check. We got a spoilers EICAS message and had turned onto an unused taxiway; set the parking brake and contacted maintenance control to assess the problem. Maintenance control suggested we deploy the spoilers and re-stow them to reset the system. When we did this; we noticed a rapid drop in right system hydraulic quantity. We shut off the right hydraulic pumps; both engines and were towed back to the gate without further incident.
