Narrative:
The slide reservoir safety pin was not installed in reservoir when slide was removed from aircraft for time constraints servicing. This could cause slide to deploy at any time causing injury or even death. These slides are shipped via truck or air freight depending on the circumstances. There should be training specifically focused on this problem. This has been an ongoing issue that must be finally dealt with before injury/death occurs. The cover of the slide clearly informs servicing requires pin installation. Slide reservoir safety pin not installed when removed from aircraft.
