Narrative:
On oct/xa/08; I was flying from mbpv (turks and caicos) to ZZZ on an international IFR flight plan. The airplane had a complete windshield bleed air system failure. I requested a lower altitude from ATC. Visibility was sufficient to make a vectored approach to the runway at ZZZ. However; on short final; the windshield began fogging up rapidly. I was able to see the runway and continued the approach. On crossing over the runway threshold; visibility deteriorated (from windshield fogging). I made the decision not to go around as I was too close to the ground at low airspeed. I cut the power; came to level; but flared too early due to the bad visibility. When the main gear hit the tarmac; I deployed the thrust reversers and applied forward pressure on the yoke to keep the nose on the ground; which was normal operating procedure on this aircraft. Apparently; the plane bounced and came down on the nose gear. The nosewheel detached from the strut. I stowed the thrust reversers and maneuvered off the runway to the hold short area of the taxiway.

Title: A CE501 PILOT MADE A HARD LANDING WHEN HIS WINDSCREEN FOGGED UP FOLLOWING FAILURE OF THE WINDSCREEN BLEED AIR.
Narrative: ON OCT/XA/08; I WAS FLYING FROM MBPV (TURKS AND CAICOS) TO ZZZ ON AN INTL IFR FLT PLAN. THE AIRPLANE HAD A COMPLETE WINDSHIELD BLEED AIR SYS FAILURE. I REQUESTED A LOWER ALT FROM ATC. VISIBILITY WAS SUFFICIENT TO MAKE A VECTORED APCH TO THE RWY AT ZZZ. HOWEVER; ON SHORT FINAL; THE WINDSHIELD BEGAN FOGGING UP RAPIDLY. I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE RWY AND CONTINUED THE APCH. ON XING OVER THE RWY THRESHOLD; VISIBILITY DETERIORATED (FROM WINDSHIELD FOGGING). I MADE THE DECISION NOT TO GO AROUND AS I WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE GND AT LOW AIRSPD. I CUT THE PWR; CAME TO LEVEL; BUT FLARED TOO EARLY DUE TO THE BAD VISIBILITY. WHEN THE MAIN GEAR HIT THE TARMAC; I DEPLOYED THE THRUST REVERSERS AND APPLIED FORWARD PRESSURE ON THE YOKE TO KEEP THE NOSE ON THE GND; WHICH WAS NORMAL OPERATING PROC ON THIS ACFT. APPARENTLY; THE PLANE BOUNCED AND CAME DOWN ON THE NOSE GEAR. THE NOSEWHEEL DETACHED FROM THE STRUT. I STOWED THE THRUST REVERSERS AND MANEUVERED OFF THE RWY TO THE HOLD SHORT AREA OF THE TXWY.
