Narrative:

During descent at approximately 15000 ft; strong odor of burning noted on flight deck. Cabin crew noted as well as passenger. Flight attendants advised no ovens were on or no coffee makers on. Source of odor could not be ascertained. Emergency declared and uneventful approach and landing accomplished on runway xx (6 KT tailwind). Fire department checked exterior prior to taxi to gate.

Title: A B737 FLIGHT CREW NOTICED A BURNING ODOR IN THE COCKPIT THAT WAS NOTICEABLE IN THE CABIN ALSO. THE SOURCE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED SO THEY DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED NORMALLY.
