Narrative:

ATC had vectored us onto a right dogleg/base to intercept the localizer and had cleared us for the ILS runway 22 at lga. Approximately 2 NM southwest of the localizer; we had a false and simultaneous capture of the localizer and GS. The GS quickly went from centered to a well below GS indication. The autoplt abruptly pitched up and began to climb above our assigned altitude of 3000 ft. I disengaged the autoplt and pitched over arresting our climb just below 3300 ft and descended to 3000 ft. During the recovery; our airspeed increased about 10 KTS above assigned but was corrected. TCAS was not a factor.
