Narrative:

Upon takeoff out of ZZZ; first officer noticed howl. As we accelerated after takeoff the noise got louder and immediately I knew one of the forward access doors was open. This would be the third time this yr it has happened to me. Upon reaching a safe altitude we advised maintenance of the problem and the probable write-up in ZZZ1 for an exterior door inspection as it was open in the 290 KIAS air stream and may have possible damage. Told them to advise maintenance control so they could have maintenance lined up in ZZZ1. Upon arrival in ZZZ1; I tried to contact the station but were unable to raise them. We were going to ask them which door had been left open before we parked so we knew which door to write up. Parked the airplane and shut down check. Called and xferred to maintenance and they were totally unaware of door problem. The message never made it to the crj desk I guess. Breakdown in communication that may have prevented a delay. I talked to the maintenance desk and told them we were at the gate and confirmed a door had been left open and would call back. Talked to the ramper that parked us and they said the ground communication door had been left open. Called maintenance and advised outbound captain of the write-up as this was a crew change. Also; I don't know where to add this; but this is the third time this has happened to me and communication is a problem with this loud howl in the cockpit. I cannot guarantee that there were no ATC deviations but I do not believe there were but it made the workload higher and used 'say again' and missed initial calls more than normal. As well as having to repeat calls and responses to first officer and back to me occasionally. The event occurred because of the failure of the rampers that pushed us out to secure ground communication door. It was suggested that this may not be a write-up and in the past I have always written this up even though there is no 'apparent damage.' hanging out in the 290 KIAS air stream with vibrations that make harmonics loud enough inside the airplane seems prudent to always be inspected to me; especially since if it did rip off its next stop would probably be the right engine.

Title: CRJ-200 CAPTAIN REPORTS LOUD HOWL AFTER TAKE OFF AND CONTINUES TO DESTINATION. POST FLIGHT REVEALS GROUND COMMUNICATIONS ACCESS DOOR HAS BEEN LEFT OPEN BY PUSH BACK CREW AT DEPARTURE AIRPORT.

Narrative: UPON TKOF OUT OF ZZZ; FO NOTICED HOWL. AS WE ACCELERATED AFTER TKOF THE NOISE GOT LOUDER AND IMMEDIATELY I KNEW ONE OF THE FORWARD ACCESS DOORS WAS OPEN. THIS WOULD BE THE THIRD TIME THIS YR IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME. UPON REACHING A SAFE ALT WE ADVISED MAINT OF THE PROB AND THE PROBABLE WRITE-UP IN ZZZ1 FOR AN EXTERIOR DOOR INSPECTION AS IT WAS OPEN IN THE 290 KIAS AIR STREAM AND MAY HAVE POSSIBLE DAMAGE. TOLD THEM TO ADVISE MAINT CTL SO THEY COULD HAVE MAINT LINED UP IN ZZZ1. UPON ARR IN ZZZ1; I TRIED TO CONTACT THE STATION BUT WERE UNABLE TO RAISE THEM. WE WERE GOING TO ASK THEM WHICH DOOR HAD BEEN LEFT OPEN BEFORE WE PARKED SO WE KNEW WHICH DOOR TO WRITE UP. PARKED THE AIRPLANE AND SHUT DOWN CHK. CALLED AND XFERRED TO MAINT AND THEY WERE TOTALLY UNAWARE OF DOOR PROB. THE MESSAGE NEVER MADE IT TO THE CRJ DESK I GUESS. BREAKDOWN IN COM THAT MAY HAVE PREVENTED A DELAY. I TALKED TO THE MAINT DESK AND TOLD THEM WE WERE AT THE GATE AND CONFIRMED A DOOR HAD BEEN LEFT OPEN AND WOULD CALL BACK. TALKED TO THE RAMPER THAT PARKED US AND THEY SAID THE GND COM DOOR HAD BEEN LEFT OPEN. CALLED MAINT AND ADVISED OUTBOUND CAPT OF THE WRITE-UP AS THIS WAS A CREW CHANGE. ALSO; I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO ADD THIS; BUT THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME AND COM IS A PROB WITH THIS LOUD HOWL IN THE COCKPIT. I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THERE WERE NO ATC DEVS BUT I DO NOT BELIEVE THERE WERE BUT IT MADE THE WORKLOAD HIGHER AND USED 'SAY AGAIN' AND MISSED INITIAL CALLS MORE THAN NORMAL. AS WELL AS HAVING TO REPEAT CALLS AND RESPONSES TO FO AND BACK TO ME OCCASIONALLY. THE EVENT OCCURRED BECAUSE OF THE FAILURE OF THE RAMPERS THAT PUSHED US OUT TO SECURE GND COM DOOR. IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT THIS MAY NOT BE A WRITE-UP AND IN THE PAST I HAVE ALWAYS WRITTEN THIS UP EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO 'APPARENT DAMAGE.' HANGING OUT IN THE 290 KIAS AIR STREAM WITH VIBRATIONS THAT MAKE HARMONICS LOUD ENOUGH INSIDE THE AIRPLANE SEEMS PRUDENT TO ALWAYS BE INSPECTED TO ME; ESPECIALLY SINCE IF IT DID RIP OFF ITS NEXT STOP WOULD PROBABLY BE THE R ENG.
