Narrative:
En route from ZZZ1 to ZZZ2; an internal failure of the captain's oxygen regulator was experienced. Because of the failure; oxygen was discovered leaking from the captain's oxygen mask and a loss of oxygen from the cockpit oxygen bottle resulted. A descent to a lower altitude was initiated and a divert into ZZZ was completed after consulting with dispatch and company maintenance services.
