Narrative:

Before taxiing out for takeoff on runway 26L; we read the following airport remarks from the company on our flight plan. 'Caution. When taxiing to runway 26L there is no hold short line. Please allow room to stop before making turn onto runway.' as we were approaching this area; I noticed a CAT I/ii hold short line; as well as a sign identifying the runway where the hold short line would be expected. Further; it appeared that that pavement had been resurfaced there; and I assumed this was what was meant by the airport remark; 'there is no hold short line.' I went slightly past the CAT I/ii line and stopped before the turn; well short of the runway. Complicating our taxi was an intermittent stuck microphone; which turned out be our aircraft. As the stuck microphone cleared; the tower controller mentioned that we had taxied past the hold short line; which was obviously the CAT I/ii line. There were no aircraft landing on our runway; and we were number one for takeoff during the few minutes this event occurred. We were cleared for takeoff and the flight was uneventful.callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter believes that they would have stopped at the ILS hold line and asked for clarification had they not seen the company note and had not been bothered by the stuck microphone. Reporter does not recall the specific wording of the initial taxi clearance and does not believe there was any mention of the ILS hold line.

Title: B767 FLIGHT CREW REPORTS CROSSING ILS CRITICAL HOLD LINE FOR RUNWAY 26L AT EDDT. RUNWAY 26L LACKS REGULAR HOLD LINE.

Narrative: BEFORE TAXIING OUT FOR TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 26L; WE READ THE FOLLOWING AIRPORT REMARKS FROM THE COMPANY ON OUR FLIGHT PLAN. 'CAUTION. WHEN TAXIING TO RWY 26L THERE IS NO HOLD SHORT LINE. PLEASE ALLOW ROOM TO STOP BEFORE MAKING TURN ONTO RWY.' AS WE WERE APPROACHING THIS AREA; I NOTICED A CAT I/II HOLD SHORT LINE; AS WELL AS A SIGN IDENTIFYING THE RUNWAY WHERE THE HOLD SHORT LINE WOULD BE EXPECTED. COMPLICATING OUR TAXI WAS AN INTERMITTENT STUCK MIKE; WHICH TURNED OUT BE OUR AIRCRAFT. AS THE STUCK MIKE CLEARED; THE TOWER CONTROLLER MENTIONED THAT WE HAD TAXIED PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE; WHICH WAS OBVIOUSLY THE CAT I/II LINE. THERE WERE NO AIRCRAFT LANDING ON OUR RUNWAY; AND WE WERE NUMBER ONE FOR TAKEOFF DURING THE FEW MINUTES THIS EVENT OCCURRED. WE WERE CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF AND THE FLIGHT WAS UNEVENTFUL.CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE REPORTER BELIEVES THAT THEY WOULD HAVE STOPPED AT THE ILS HOLD LINE AND ASKED FOR CLARIFICATION HAD THEY NOT SEEN THE COMPANY NOTE AND HAD NOT BEEN BOTHERED BY THE STUCK MIC. RPTR DOES NOT RECALL THE SPECIFIC WORDING OF THE INITIAL TAXI CLEARANCE AND DOES NOT BELIEVE THERE WAS ANY MENTION OF THE ILS HOLD LINE.
