Narrative:
Passing south of england; we got a pack right EICAS message and ran the electronic checklist with no success. We contacted maintenance control through dispatch to see if there was anything else we could do. Maintenance control suggested resetting 5 circuit breakers in the east&east compartment. One of the first officer's did this with no success. We talked to dispatch and maintenance control on the satphone and decided ZZZZ was the best place to go to repair the valve involved. We discussed an overweight landing with dispatch and maintenance control and decided to dump some fuel but still make an overweight landing (time constraints being one issue). We dumped 38000 pounds of fuel and landed at 466000 pounds. ZZZZ maintenance did a quick fix and an overweight landing inspection and we departed without incident.

Title: B777 FLIGHT CREW STARTING OFF ACROSS THE NORTH ATLANTIC HAS A PACK FAILURE. CREW DECIDES TO DIVERT FOR REPAIRS BEFORE CONTINUING TO DESTINATION.
Narrative: PASSING S OF ENGLAND; WE GOT A PACK R EICAS MESSAGE AND RAN THE ELECTRONIC CHKLIST WITH NO SUCCESS. WE CONTACTED MAINT CTL THROUGH DISPATCH TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING ELSE WE COULD DO. MAINT CTL SUGGESTED RESETTING 5 CIRCUIT BREAKERS IN THE E&E COMPARTMENT. ONE OF THE FO'S DID THIS WITH NO SUCCESS.
