Narrative:
After receiving a clearance which was other than filed; I was taxiing the aircraft while arranging my charts and mentally prepping for the departure. I failed to stop until I was finished with my cockpit setup; during which I taxied off the edge of taxiway B at ZZZ and the propeller struck the ground. I immediately shut down the engine. My lack of situational awareness and mission xchk times were unacceptable. I know that while taxiing; 100% of my time should be directed to safely maneuvering the aircraft. I should have stopped the aircraft until my cockpit setup was complete and then continued taxi. To prevent a reoccurrence; brief all aircrew on the importance of safe taxiing especially when operating solo.
