Narrative:

On takeoff the airplane went left of center and off the runway. I had attempted to rotate at 65 KTS and could not fly so lowered nose and attempted again at 70 KTS. It still did not fly so I pulled the throttle and aborted. The plane veered left and damaged a runway light and the propeller struck the ground at the transition to taxiway a. Cause of problem: my inability to maintain control. Contributing factors: 1) low flight time; this occurred during my first solo flight. 2) I had not been trained; ground or flight; on aborted takeoffs. 3) FSDO says winds reported; 0/0 at 18; may have gusted from behind causing tailwind and left turn. Runway heading was 30 degrees.

Title: BEECH 77 STUDENT PILOT REPORTS RUNWAY EXCURSION DURING ABORTED TAKEOFF ON FIRST SOLO FLIGHT.

Narrative: ON TKOF THE AIRPLANE WENT L OF CTR AND OFF THE RWY. I HAD ATTEMPTED TO ROTATE AT 65 KTS AND COULD NOT FLY SO LOWERED NOSE AND ATTEMPTED AGAIN AT 70 KTS. IT STILL DID NOT FLY SO I PULLED THE THROTTLE AND ABORTED. THE PLANE VEERED L AND DAMAGED A RWY LIGHT AND THE PROP STRUCK THE GND AT THE TRANSITION TO TXWY A. CAUSE OF PROB: MY INABILITY TO MAINTAIN CTL. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: 1) LOW FLT TIME; THIS OCCURRED DURING MY FIRST SOLO FLT. 2) I HAD NOT BEEN TRAINED; GND OR FLT; ON ABORTED TKOFS. 3) FSDO SAYS WINDS RPTED; 0/0 AT 18; MAY HAVE GUSTED FROM BEHIND CAUSING TAILWIND AND L TURN. RWY HDG WAS 30 DEGS.
