Narrative:
I would like to state that my actions concerning aircraft X were; to the best of my recollection; in accordance with step 5a on the nose gear tire/wheel assembly installation work card by ensuring that the axle washer was installed. I would like to point out that the aircraft remained in service for approximately 6 months without incident; leading me to believe that the assembly in question was installed correctly. It is also my belief that the washer was lost at the station where the discrepancy was noted.
