Narrative:

During takeoff roll on runway 30 at iad the captain noticed the right engine N1 was higher than normal and higher than left engine N1. At approximately the same time that the captain noted the N1 discrepancy, the master caution light came on intermittently and compressor stall sounds were heard. The takeoff was aborted at approximately 130 KTS. The aircraft was stopped on the runway. Normal checklist and procedures were followed. The aircraft was taxied to the gate. Upon inspection by maintenance personnel, it was reported that the engine had sustained compressor blade damage. Up until the takeoff roll all operations were normal. My preflight inspection revealed no abnormal conditions. OAT was approximately 35 degrees F. Upon deplaning, 2 passenger reported that they had seen some ice come off the top of the wing. One passenger reported that there was no ice, but he had seen condensation. Supplemental information from acn 81816: the aircraft had been on the ground overnight. It had rained heavily during the night, but had stopped by the time the crew reached the airport.
