Narrative:
We were cleared rejected takeoff land on runway 35C in dfw. Lahso was reported in effect on the ATIS but no lahso clearance was issued to us. After we landed and were rolling out the local controller crossed another aircraft on our runway ahead of us. We were still traveling at approximately 100 KTS. We had not committed to any turnoff verbally or physically; nor were we told to stop or turn at any taxiway. We had not even applied our brakes yet. When we asked about it; the controller stated; 'that is how we do it here; all day long.' ATC should allow us to use as much of the runway as we need; unless we have agreed to stop or turn off at a particular place.
