Narrative:
I deferred the #1 CSD/generator which requires a CSD disconnect. Due to aircraft being loaded I wrote up in logbook that #1 CSD needed to be disconnected per the MEL before departure. I then deferred the #1 CSD/generator and printed a new aircraft release document. At departure time we started #1 engine at the gate; disconnected and verified #1 CSD per the MEL requirements; I completed the logbook item; and the aircraft departed. After departure; I realized I did not sign off in the mechanic signature block. Everything else completed correctly. I was in a rush to get aircraft out; and answering crew questions; allowed myself to get distracted. I signed second copy. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated he had pulled and signed off the second copy of the logbook; but just never noticed the top page section for mechanic signature block.
