Narrative:

I was pilot flying at FL390 when master warning and cabin altitude warning/lights came on. We ran cabin altitude and requested descent for pressurization problem. I notice cabin altitude about 11;000 ft with the outflow valve closed. After starting descent; first officer mentioned that cabin altitude was descending. Below FL290; I noticed the cabin altitude below 10;000 ft. Continued descent to 15;000 ft. Checked with cabin crew and they said they heard a pop and vibration during descent. Conferred with maintenance through dispatch and diverted to ZZZ.
