Failed to slow to 200 KTS below lax class B airspace on our approach to sna. We were 8-10 miles southwest of sna at 5;000 ft and were maintaining 250 KTS until queried by approach control of our speed. We quickly slowed to 200 KTS.

Title: Air carrier inbound to SNA failed to slow to 200 knots below the LAX Class B until advised by ATC.
Narrative: Failed to slow to 200 KTS below LAX Class B airspace on our approach to SNA. We were 8-10 miles southwest of SNA at 5;000 FT and were maintaining 250 KTS until queried by Approach Control of our speed. We quickly slowed to 200 KTS.
