Narrative:
The autopilot trim failed during the turn from base to final on the ILS at ZZZ. No master warning was received. Altitude deviation was first observed by the first officer/pilot not flying. Recovery initiated by pilot not flying and control returned to pilot flying. Autopilot was reengaged and another failure occurred. Pilot flying elected to hand fly the ILS to touchdown. ATC advised.
