Narrative:
Mdw 7 departure departing south; maintain 250 KTS until advised. Increased speed to 290 after leaving 10;000 ft. Pay more attention to notes on departure.supplemental info from acn 823736: we departed on runway 31C; maintain 250 KTS until initial fix well above 13;000 ft and then accelerated to econ cruise speed. A couple of minutes later the controller said to accelerate a normal cruise speed. I looked at the SID and is stated that we should maintain 250 KTS until controller says otherwise. The MDW7 SID should have in bold; big ink; 'filed on fix abc; xyz etc; maintain 250 KTS until ATC said otherwise.'
Original NASA ASRS Text
