Narrative:
On climbout at 11;000 ft; the right-hand AC generator caution light illuminated. The crew notified dispatch of the problem and stated they were in icing conditions. There was also icing present for the rest of the way to ZZZ. After briefly talking to maintenance; we agreed to return to ZZZ1 to get out of the icing conditions as soon as possible. ZZZ1 was reporting 70 broken and 80 overcast at the time of the mechanical failure; but ATC helped the crew descend below the cloud deck immediately and the flight landed with no further incident.

Title: An SF340 flight crew experienced right-hand AC Generator caution light and after conferring with dispatch elected to return to their departure airport.
Narrative: On climbout at 11;000 FT; the right-hand AC Generator caution light illuminated. The crew notified Dispatch of the problem and stated they were in icing conditions.
