Narrative:
We got revised pre departure clearance routing. We flew the SID then J220 vallo direct. Ny center expected us to stay on J220 all the way to our destination. I don't know why we got a revision if ATC wanted us on the original route. I called ny center and they said this was a common problem with company aircraft. Fix the pre departure clearance routing problem.
