Narrative:
Transiting A10 toward taxiway a at approximately 10 KTS; we were blatantly cut off by a ground vehicle that appeared to be am ambulance with markings of chicago fire department. This vehicle was cruising east on the access road at least 30 mph. He came right in front of us; as if he had the right-of-way; and we had to apply a significant amount of braking. If not; we may have been close enough to hit the vehicle.
