Narrative:
Clrd (lax-jfk) 'garbe two departure, daggett transition...'. When taxiing into position for takeoff given clearance 'at 3 DME turn to 055 degree, maintain 2000 to 7 DME then climb to 7000''. After takeoff given many more such changes than would seem necessary, and that might lead to error or confusion, especially when flight path toward high terrain.
