Narrative:

Our approach and landing were normal until I began to taxi off the runway. Upon slowing to taxi speed and beginning my turnoff on a high speed taxiway; I received an ECAM warning that I had lost my nosewheel steering. The ECAM warning was a 'nosewheel steering fault.' as I was beginning my taxi turnoff; I received this warning and subsequently lost nosewheel steering. I immediately applied right brake and was able to steer the aircraft back onto the runway. The result of this was a very violent maneuver that caused some concern to my passengers and cabin crew. Once I regained control of the aircraft; I had the first officer call the tower and tell them we were disabled. They wanted us to taxi off the runway in use. We stopped the aircraft and followed the QRH and were able to reset the nosewheel steering. Shortly thereafter; we taxied off the runway and eventually taxied to the gate.
