Narrative:
On climbout of ZZZZ after a sudden shake of the aircraft; noticed #2 engine oil quantity being lost rapidly. Advised captain and proceeded with the 'engine failure inflight shutdown' checklist. After securing the engine and reviewing weather at various destinations; the crew decided to continue to ZZZZ1. The rest of the flight was uneventful with a safe landing. Supplemental information from acn 829516: I told the captain to return to ZZZZ; and he said because of safety issues (short runway; damp runway; and low clouds) it is better to proceed. The controller called and asked about the status of the aircraft; saying they received some calls saying the people heard a loud noise from the aircraft. The captain said that we have a mechanical problem and it is under control. Later; the captain told them that we have an engine down.
