Narrative:
After landing in philadelphia; we taxied to our assigned gate. As we approached the parking line for the gate; the number 1 engine was shutdown. After engine shutdown the captain realized that the plane was not stopping with normal brake application. We both checked the AC generator switches and the standby hydraulic pump switches and observed that they were both in the on position. The captain applied the emergency parking brake as we slowly approached the gate. The nose wheel came to a stop approximately 5-6 ft from the parking T without further incident. After deplaning; the captain contacted maintenance as the #1 and #2 standyby hydraulic pump circuit breakers were in the out position.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: While approaching the gate following shutting down the #1 engine; the flight crew of an unidentified air carrier type aircraft utilized the emergency parking brake to stop the aircraft when it was determined the circuit breakers for the electric hydraulic pumps were open; causing normal braking to be unavailable.
