Narrative:

On climbout when passing altitude 15;000 ft; we heard a pop and then illumination of acc door unlocked/ nose warning light. We notified ATC; leveled at 16;000; declared an emergency and requested return to our departure airport. We also ran the emergency checklist and slowed to below 200KIAS as required by the checklist. As we were approximately 1200 pounds over max landing weight and no other abnormal noises were noted; we requested holding to burn down fuel. We held at the IAF on the ILS until aircraft weight was satisfactory for landing. We landed at 18700 pounds gross weight canceled emergency and taxied to FBO without incident.
