Narrative:

We had an uneventful start and taxi to runway. Early in the takeoff roll (just prior to 80 knots call) we received a caution chime and ECAM. I believe it was the vent skin valve fault ECAM. I elected to abort the takeoff. The autobrakes engaged and we slowed to a taxi speed. We exited at taxiway left and turned right on B as per ATC instructions. The first officer made a quick PA to the passengers. Ground then asked us to taxi on B short of east while we assessed our situation (to get us out of the way of most of the traffic). The brake temperatures were fairly cool upon clearing the runway; so I complied with the taxi instructions. We then contacted dispatch and maintenance. Per maintenance request we taxied back to the gate so they could assess the situation. The max brake temperature reached was 255 degrees C. After block in maintenance cleared the item and performed the required inspections. We departed about an hour late with no abnormalities.

Title: A319 flight crew rejected takeoff at 80KTS due to an ECAM VENT SKIN FAULT caution message.

Narrative: We had an uneventful start and taxi to runway. Early in the takeoff roll (just prior to 80 knots call) we received a caution chime and ECAM. I believe it was the VENT Skin Valve Fault ECAM. I elected to abort the takeoff. The autobrakes engaged and we slowed to a taxi speed. We exited at taxiway L and turned right on B as per ATC instructions. The First Officer made a quick PA to the passengers. Ground then asked us to taxi on B short of E while we assessed our situation (to get us out of the way of most of the traffic). The brake temperatures were fairly cool upon clearing the runway; so I complied with the taxi instructions. We then contacted dispatch and maintenance. Per maintenance request we taxied back to the gate so they could assess the situation. The max brake temperature reached was 255 degrees C.
